Scottish Estate
2009
The house and estate, which is situated on the southern uplands of the Scottish Borders, is undergoing extensive restoration works by the current owners. The newly designed grounds around the house included the planning of a new Orangery, garaging and outbuildings and the re-routing of the driveway to allow for a series of courtyards and formal garden rooms on the north east side of the house. The gardens to the south west of the house are made up of formal terraces and herbaceous borders, a large formal vegetable garden with a greenhouse and cutting garden. The Parkland is undergoing a series of works which include the planting of an arboretum, extensive planting of tree belts and the creation of a new lake with a series of different habitats for nesting birds..
