ABOUT THE PROJECT:
Recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086, this medieval estate has seen many changes to its’ landscape over the centuries. The garden, themselves, were significantly developed in the mid-19th century into a series of garden rooms of different character and the walled enclosures and towers restored. Today, the gardens and the house are undergoing renovations by the current owner with whom I have been working with over the last 3 years. to date, the Rose Garden & the main Formal Garden have been renovated and re-planted with new borders of topiary and perennials and pleached limes. More areas are being undertaken over the next year.
